Policies & Procedures
Rawhitiroa School, situated on the outskirts of Eltham in Taranaki, caters for students from Years 1 to 8. They enjoy education in a safe, aesthetically pleasing, inclusive learning and play spaces. Students experience an environment conducive to successful learning and develop with teachers respectful, responsive and reciprocal relationships.
We strive for our children to be strong in Literacy and Numeracy, to expand their knowledge and skills across the curriculum, celebrate their successes and others, and to be positive active members of their community.
Strong relationships and partnerships connect home, school and the community. Families have many opportunities to engage in and support school activities and direction. Students in the past have been highly involved in the maintenance and beautification of nearby Lake Rotokare, a community-led project to create a pest-free sanctuary for bird life. Children learned in an atmosphere of mutual respect where being a member of the school's community and making a contribution is valued.

Mōrena,
As always term 2 and term 3 are very busy sporting terms.
I would like to acknowledge the hard work undertaken by Jackie Francis in organsing teams and coordinating between schools when necessary to ensure all our students have the opportunity to partake in all these events.
Having Brent Watkins being available to be teacher in charge at these events with his teacher background and knowledge of so many sporting codes makes such a difference and is appreciated.
To everyone who puts their hand up to coach at any time throughout the year or more likely has been shoulder tapped when we are short, this is also really appreciated. Now just a plea we have 5 teams off to Jones Cup this year and each team needs a coach. So please let us know if you are available to help. This can be completed on the permission form or by phoning school.
Just a reminder after what has been in the media recently that the referees and coaches are all volunteers and doing the best they can, often with limited training and experience.
These are the sporting events for the rest of the term:
