Rawhitiroa School, situated on the outskirts of Eltham in Taranaki, caters for students from Years 1 to 8. They enjoy education in a safe, aesthetically pleasing, inclusive learning and play spaces. Students experience an environment conducive to successful learning and develop with teachers respectful, responsive and reciprocal relationships.
We strive for our children to be strong in Literacy and Numeracy, to expand their knowledge and skills across the curriculum, celebrate their successes and others, and to be positive active members of their community.
Strong relationships and partnerships connect home, school and the community. Families have many opportunities to engage in and support school activities and direction. Students in the past have been highly involved in the maintenance and beautification of nearby Lake Rotokare, a community-led project to create a pest-free sanctuary for bird life. Children learned in an atmosphere of mutual respect where being a member of the school's community and making a contribution is valued.

As you are aware, our kapa haka students are traveling to Waitara for their Puanga performance on Wednesday 28th October by bus.
We have 5 seats available for whanau on this bus, leaving school at 11.30am. These are on a first in first served basis.
The bus will return to school by 3pm.
If you would like one of these seats please let me know asap.

This is a reminder to please send in a grocery item & scratchy for our pet day raffles in the morning.

Student Stall
This year at Pet Day we are going to have a student stall to help fundraise:
75% of sales go back to the student
25% of sales go to the school
Students may bring anything to sell (except baked goods as this conflicts with the baked goods stall). Students may have goods they have created like loom band bracelets or crochet goods or even old toys in good condition they might like to sell. Fresh produce such as vegetables is fine also.
Students need to price their own items and bring to school a list of the items they have to school by Friday morning. Anything not sold HAS to be taken home on the day.
Please note this is NOT a white elephant stall!

Could all families please provide the following:
Baked item for the baking stall - to be brought to school Friday afternoon or Saturday morning
Instant Kiwi Scratchie for scratchie raffle - by Thursday please
Grocery item for the grocery raffle - by Thursday please
Family Bake a Cake Competition
Bake a cake as a family and enter the competition. All cakes will be raffled off. Please bring to school on Saturday morning.
